The NBA is streaming thousands of games in VR on Quest this season

The NBA has announced that it will greatly increase the number of games it records for Quest headsets, bringing even more 180-degree immersive games to NBA League Pass holders.

The games will be available in both ways Xtadium Program in Quest and Meta Horizon WorldsBoth of them require NBA Pass to access the league subscription viewing service. The games are on XtadiumWhile the games have started, they have already started Horizon worldsIt starts on November 17.

Each program has its own benefits. Xtadium It allows you to have a “watch party”, where you can invite friends to join you in your private party room and watch the game together in VR as avatars. It also lets you watch games on demand, watch up to eight games simultaneously in 2D, and watch games in mixed reality mode.

NBA stadium inHorizon worldsIt is supposed to include interactive games like Slam Dunk Jam and Basket Blitz. There are also plenty of opportunities to mess around in the stadium environment, unlocking stickers, emotes, exclusive avatar wearables and access to the VIP lounge by attending immersive games or mini-games at NBA Arena. You can even buy your own NBA or WNBA avatar team uniforms that you can wear in VR as well as on Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.

As always, the standard set of NBA League Pass geo-restrictions apply, meaning that some games may not be available in all regions, and viewers who are close to the physical event may not be able to view it due to local restrictions.
