Xanadu and Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) have partnered to create a quantum workforce in Qatar.

The purpose of the partnership is to advance quantum education and training in the country and the wider region

Toronto And Doha, Qatar, November 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ – Xanadu (xanadu.ai), a global leader in photonic quantum computing, and Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) School of Science and Engineering (CSE), to educate and train a quantum-ready workforce in Diameter.

The demand for quantum talent has grown significantly over the past few years. Xanadu’s mission is to build quantum computers that are useful and accessible to people everywhere, and one of the pillars of that mission is to help ensure that the next generation is quantum-ready. The Qatar Center for Quantum Computing (QC2) at CSE will collaborate with Xanadu during this collaboration. In doing so, Xanadu becomes QC2’s first international partner and supporter of its mission to advance quantum computing research locally, regionally and internationally.
